Ever since 1990, when I first exhibited Wolfgang Mally, I have been fascinated by his obsessive interest in the origins of our creatural existence. His works result from his own attempts, as an actor, to approach the internal processes of our world, to connect them to present-day thought and to generate unforeseeable ways of dealing with image worlds that captivate the viewer.

I am now delighted to present a view of his current work phase.

In this show, Wolfgang Mally makes reference to the molecular cloud Bernard211 *1   and the molecules of the human body. At Mutter-Ey-Straße 5, he opens up further possibilities for viewing these phenomena. The gels, developed in cooperation with the Institute of Vegetative Physiology of the University of Münster, whose cavities allude to human bodies, were exposed to a DNA transit there. This procedure forms the filmic and process-related  part of the installation.
